Stiff Arm Trophy

Heisman Projection: 88 ballots

Posted on December 5, 2011.

This afteroon, ESPN announced the five finalists. In alpha order: Montee Ball, Robert Griffin III, Andrew Luck, Tyrann Mathieu, and Trent Richardson.

That list of five matches up with what we've got as our top five so far. The latest numbers are below, now with 88 ballots. We'll probably have one last update tonight around 9 p.m. Pacific, and then another first thing in the morning. We'll almost certainly hit 150 ballots then, if not 200.

No major change on this latest update, except that Houston QB Case Keenum has now appeared with a couple of votes.

For the tenth year in a row, we're going to attempt to project the outcome of the greatest individual award in sports, the Heisman Trophy. We've been right nine out of nine years.

But to do this, we need your help. If you read/see/hear someone identify themselves as an official voter (with or without their vote), post a comment on our voter tips line, share a note on our Facebook wall, or send us a note on Twitter (@stiffarmtrophy). If possible, provide a link (or at least tell us where you saw/heard/read it.)
