ESPN: FSU's Ponder will throw today

Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder, who had surgery to repair soft-tissue damage in his right arm on Dec. 10., will start to throw again today under the watch of Florida State’s sports medicine staff.

Ponder has spent the past few days lifting weights and running, but will now accelerate his rehab process for the Chick-fil-A Bowl game against South Carolina.

“He’s staying here; his family is coming here for Christmas,” coach Jimbo Fisher said in the team's practice report. “He’ll stay here, workout, train and rehab for three days and start throwing the ball.”
