Week 9: Luck stays on top as Keenum & Barkley move up
Stanford QB Andrew Luck continues to lead the Stiff Arm Trophy poll of Heisman voters, as he has each week since the third week of the season.
Also appearing on more than 90% of voters' top-nine watch lists were #2 Boise State QB Kellen Moore, #3 Alabama RB Trent Richardson, and #4 Houston QB Case Keenum. Keenum's fourth-place ranking is four spots higher than he was last week, and his highest ranking all season.
The second tier of Heisman candidates are #5 Oklahoma QB Landry Jones, #6 Baylor QB Robert Griffin III, #7 Oklahoma St QB Brandon Weeden, #8 Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson, and #10 Oklahoma St WR Justin Blackmon. Griffin and Wilson each dropped three spots from last week.
The top-twelve ranking finishes out with #10 USC QB Matt Barkley, who moved up four spots this week, despite a close loss to Stanford; #11 Clemson QB Tajh Boyd, dropping four spots; and #12 Oklahoma WR Ryan Broyles, who returns to the ranking after a one-week absence.
Dropping out of the Stiff Arm Trophy ranking this week ar Michigan QB Denard Robinson, Oregon RB LaMichael James, Michigan St QB Kirk Cousins, and LSU DB Tyrann Mathieu.
50 actual Heisman voters from 28 states participated in this week's StiffArmTrophy.com poll. The poll asked voters to share an unranked top-9 "watch list" for the Heisman Trophy.
