ESPN: Saban: Ingram probably won't play
Alabama coach Nick Saban said Wednesday that he doesn’t anticipate Heisman Trophy running back Mark Ingram playing Saturday against Penn State.
Saban said Ingram is progressing well from his arthroscopic knee surgery, but that it would be too soon to rush him back out there this weekend without any practice.
It’s not a big surprise that Ingram won’t be out there, certainly not to those inside the Alabama program. The plan all along was to proceed with caution and be absolutely sure he was 100 percent.
