Yahoo Sports: Texas A&M begins its Heisman publicity push for Johnny Manziel
Somewhere along the line, schools promoting players for the Heisman Trophy became important in the voting process. It seems dumb that brochures, billboards or football cards mailed to voters (like Baylor did with Robert Griffin III throughout last season) should make any impact whatsoever - voters should probably be able to make decisions based on watching games and analyzing pertinent stats, don't you think? - but that's part of the Heisman game now.
