Taylor Martinez's unorthodox throwing motion has generated some less-than flattering statements from college football analysts and fans. There have been a few shot-put jokes about the Nebraska quarterback on this blog.
But Martinez worked on his mechanics during the offseason, and so far, the results have been good. His preseason goal of 70 percent completions has been matched through the first four games (65 of 92, 70.7 percent). He has fired nine touchdown passes and only one interception.
