Yahoo Sports: Heisman watch: Matt Barkley slips off, but an unlikely candidate emerges
It was a rough week for a couple of our Heisman candidates, including USC quarterback Matt Barkley, who slipped off Dr. Saturday's Heisman list because of a combination of poor play at Stanford and stellar play by other strong candidates. But it's a long season and we're just going into the fourth week of the season. This is when things start to get interesting as teams start consistently playing conference games and the level of competition is raised across the board.
