Stiff Arm Trophy

ESPN: Big 12 Heisman Watch: Week 2

Here's how I'd rank the Big 12's best Heisman hopes after one week of games.

  1. Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia: Smith's Heisman campaign got off to a fantastic start. He'll already tack a national player of the week award to his resume after completing 32-of-36 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns in the Mountaineers' 69-34 win over Marshall. He also added 65 yards rushing, including a 28-yard touchdown run. West Virginia was the only team in Week 1 to score 60 points against an FBS opponent, much less one that won a bowl game a year ago.
