Stiff Arm Trophy

ESPN: RG3 runs away with AP Player of the Year

He already has his Heisman. Chalk up another award for RG3.

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III has been named the Associated Press' Player of the Year by a wide margin.

He earned 43 votes, easily outpacing Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck (7), LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu (5) and Alabama running back Trent Richardson (1).

The AP rolled out a career retrospective feature on Griffin, the man who's helped Baylor reach two consecutive bowl games after a 16-year drought and climbed from the Big 12 basement to a third-place finish this year, setting a school record with six conference wins.
