Just about anybody can pass as a preseason Heisman candidate these days, but if there's one outside-the-box candidate who has a chance to make a legitimately compelling case, it's Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich in his first season back since beating life-threatening cancer in his left leg. Herzlich admitted at ACC media days Monday that, while he's no more likely to sustain an injury than before, the consequences of a major injury to the leg could be more severe after chemotherapy and radiation.
