Fanhouse: Ole Miss QB Jeremiah Masoli Ruled Ineligible for 2010 Season
Filed under: MississippiThe University of Mississippi announced it has appealed the NCAA's denial of quarterback Jeremiah Masoli's waiver request. That decision was announced Tuesday and, if the appeal is denied, it will keep him off of the field this season.
After two incidents with police led him to be kicked off the team at Oregon, Masoli transferred to Ole Miss. When transferring from one Football Bowl Subdivision school to another, a player usually has to sit out a season before he's eligible to play. Ole Miss, however, put in for a waiver.
