College Football awards are being handed out tonight with Patrick Peterson named the Jim Thorpe Award winner as College Football's best defensive back.The physical cornerback made a name for himself as a great cover-corner with outstanding return skills throughout his glorious career at LSU.Peterson has held his own against some of the best wide receivers in College Football this season, including Alabama's Julio Jones.LSU's defense was once again one of the best in the country, constantly making up for the shortcomings of the inconsistent offense.A 6-1 junior, Peterson finished with 36 tackles and four interceptions for the Tigers.Rated as one ...
