Bleacher Report: Auburn vs. Alabama Football: Mark Ingram Scores on Opening Drive
An absolutely dominant first drive was capped off by a nine-yard touchdown run by reigning Heisman winner Mark Ingram. Alabama didn't have a single bad play on the entire drive and made the Auburn defense look absolutely inept. McElory completed his first two passes for 15 yards, then Marquis Maze ran a perfect reverse for seven yards. That was followed by Mark Ingram gaining 13 yards, five on a rush, eight on a catch. Julio Jones ran for 12 yards, and a pass interference cal and Mark Ingram rush later, the Crimson Tide had rolled down the field and onto the board.
