ESPN: Taylor Martinez back on the field for Huskers
T-Magic is officially back.
Nebraska forced a turnover on downs on Kansas' opening possession, and Huskers quarterback Taylor Martinez returned from an ankle injury that kept him out of last week's win at Iowa State.
Martinez completed his first pass of the game for eight yards, but the Huskers went three-and-out with a pair of runs after the completion.
Kansas coach Turner Gill, returning for the first time as a head coach to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln where he made so many memories as a player and coach, was honored with a tribute video before the game.
