According to ESPN's Joe Schad, Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich returned to campus Thursday after missing practice Wednesday to have a three-month cancer checkup. There was no negative news that emerged on Wednesday, with a scan of his lungs turning up clear. Herzlich also had an MRI on his leg -- to check for effects of the cancer -- and awaits results.
