ESPN: Mark Herzlich has broken foot

Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich is out with a broken foot, but said he will be ready for the Sept. 4 season opener against Weber State, according to the Associated Press.

Herzlich has been sidelined since the Eagles started practicing on Monday. He had an X-Ray on his right foot Monday morning. It happened during a routine drill, and Herzlich told Boston-area reporters he thought the injury occurred while making the change in surface from sand to turf.
