ESPN: SEC Heisman watch

There's really only one Heisman Trophy candidate in the SEC, but a couple of others have played well enough to at least deserve mention:

  1. Auburn quarterback Cam Newton: He remains the front-runner nationally and continues to inch his way toward the 20-20 club. Newton now has 15 touchdowns passing and 14 touchdowns running. And in one of those true Heisman moments, he even caught a touchdown pass last week in the 51-31 win over Ole Miss. Newton has a real shot at 2,000 yards passing and 1,500 yards rushing this season.
