StiffArmTrophy.com media hits everywhere! (updated)
Moments ago, on 1540 AM sports radio in Los Angeles... we're told by one of our tipsters that they're talking about Reggie Bush having already won the Trophy. A caller called in and argued "He hasn't won it yet" and host Tony Bruno responded:
"Well, based on my own eyes - and some guy who has a website that says he predicted it for the last three years... it's over."
Thanks Tony! Now say it out loud: "StiffArmTrophy.com"
Meanwhile, over at MSNBC.com, Jim Litke has this some advice for Vince Young (on the upside of losing):
We bring this up as consolation for Young, who’s almost certain to finish second in the balloting to Bush, USC’s all-purpose back. How certain? A Web site run by Democratic strategist and USC grad Kari Chisholm, at www.stiffarmtrophy.com, has predicted the H------ outcome with stunning accuracy and he’s looking for a landslide Bush victory. One that might even topple Young’s fellow Longhorn, Ricky Williams, who polled an all-time 85.2 percent in 1998.
Over at the Plain Dealer, they've got a great interview with two-time winner Archie Griffin. They've got this note about our little project:
USC quarterback Matt Leinart, the 2004 winner, is one of only three players invited to New York City for the Times Square presentation. But he is destined for a third-place finish behind teammate Reggie Bush and Texas quarterback Vince Young. The Web site www.stiffarmtrophy.com tabulates votes made public in media across the country, and as of Thursday afternoon was projecting a landslide victory for Bush, with 149 of the 176 first-place votes made public by voters.

ESPN.com's Ivan Maisel also mentioned you in a story today.
I think we have our first third place vote for Northwestern QB Bret Basanez, from a Chicago Sun Times writer, forgetting his name.
He went
1-Bush
2-Young
3-Basanez
